Put a little DeLay in your day!

My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

volunteer work

As the proud owner of 2 dogs, 3 cats and a pet snake (yes, a beautiful corn snake named Speedy), you can tell I have a great love for animals. Iíve been honored to be a volunteer for the SPCA of Texas (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) for almost 18 years.

Founded in 1938, the SPCA of Texas is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals. The SPCA OF TEXAS relies SOLELY on private donations, receiving ABSOLUTELY NO FUNDING from any government entity or United Way fund.

Iíve had the honor of volunteering many different areas, including:
-- TLC (Tender Loving Care Ė walking dogs and socializing cats that are up for adoption),
-- Fostering (taking in sick or injured animals and getting them healthy and ready to be adopted),
-- Off Site adoptions and Special Events
-- Education and
-- Martin Spay/Neuter Clinic

I also draw cartoons for the SPCA. I've designed T-shirts, greeting cards, signs, brochures, and illustrations for promotional and educational materials. Our coloring book, Be Bite Free, is a national award winner and endorsed by the HSUS (Humane Society of the United States) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

WE NEED DONATIONS! Please look at the Web site on how to donate!
